Walk through nine Australian habitats at WILD LIFE Sydney, from the koala area and wallaby cliffs to a two-storey aviary, butterfly house, reptile exhibits, and Rex, a 16.5-foot saltwater crocodile. Allow about 1.5 hours and use the digital photo pass included with admission.

Choose special exhibitions or the Big Ticket at Sydney’s Australian National Maritime Museum. Explore Aboriginal and European maritime stories, board HMAS Vampire, HMAS Onslow, James Craig and the Endeavour replica, and give children time in Kids on Deck. Allow at least three hours.

Visit Taronga Zoo, home to more than 4,000 animals, then use a 24 or 48-hour Sydney Harbour Hopper pass between Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, Watsons Bay, Manly, and the zoo. Plan ferry times carefully, since the zoo alone can fill a full day.
“Times of ticket office opening is unclear. We rushed to get there by 9am turns out it didn't open until 9.30. Ferry time also wasn't advertised but we weren't late and it was an enjoyable day.”
